FAQ

Which platforms does Lim support?

Windows desktop, Android and HarmonyOS. One account can be online on multiple devices at once, with messages synced in real time. See Download & Install.

Do messages sync across devices?

Yes. Every device signed in to the same account shares conversations and messages: online devices receive them instantly, offline devices catch up automatically when they come back.

Do multiple signed-in devices conflict?

No. Lim supports multi-device presence; signing in on a new device does not kick out existing ones, and read/unread states stay consistent everywhere.

How do I send a file?

Pick a file in the conversation input area and send it. Files are stored in the cloud, reachable from any device, and common document formats can be previewed online.

Is self-hosting supported?

Yes. The server side can be deployed on your own infrastructure, keeping all data inside your network. Contact your team administrator for deployment support.

I forgot my password. What now?

Ask your team administrator to reset it. For security reasons, password resets are handled by organization administrators.

How do I get the newest version?

  • The Windows client prompts you in-app when an update is available
  • On mobile, use the official download channels
  • Version details are listed on the Download & Install page

How do I report issues or ideas?

Contact your team administrator, or file an issue in the project repository.
